Velkommen til København

Another transit day which usually I wouldn’t both too much with, but I need to tell y’all about this Air BnB. The host is renovating – she says everything’s safe but there’s some quirks. Like girl, where is your cutlery? There’re no kitchen utensils – which is doubly annoying as I bothered to shop at Lidl on my way in so that I could make dinner and breakfast.

None of the doors have handles so I haven’t tried to close either the bathroom or the bedroom door – fine, no worries it’s just me – oh, and all the neighbours because there’s also no window coverings! There is an eye-mask, presumably so I don’t have to look at anyone while I pee. May also be because the sun was still setting at 9pm.

The bed is on the floor so pray for me, there’s no side-tables or benches, just me and my bag and a mattress and a dope mirror. There’s also no fan or air-conditioning which isn’t a problem usually, but we got storms forecast and I don’t love the idea of trying to sleep without a window open. I might miss the intense traffic noise of the main road.

But what really sells this place is the bathroom because far beyond the convenience of a shower over bath, no sir, I present you with a hose over a toilet, and I mean a shower hose not a bidet – I haven’t overlooked a totally separate shower. This bad boy is connected to the sink so you can presumably shit, shower, shave all in the one spot.

I absolutely love it.
